Our Story

Behind every great idea there lies a tale. And this is ours…

I became a volunteer for a children’s cancer charity during my years at university. During that time I witnessed how happy, proud, and excited the kids felt when we would tie-dye t-shirts in one of our creative workshops. They would wear them for the rest of the camp without a care in the world and show them off to their parents! The reach of the children’s creativity was astounding, as was the happiness in their eyes.

Ever since that summer I wanted every child to have the opportunity of creating something that truly expresses their creativity, but I wanted the process to be unique and accessible to everyone… easier said than done.

Life moved on, but the idea kept coming back to me every year, but no matter how much I tried, I could not find a simple, financially feasible, ethical, and conscientious way of bringing the idea to life. This all changed when I met my now wife who was a midwife. She loved the idea so much she immediately wanted to be a part of the dream. Over the years we worked on the way to make it a reality, and after many failed attempts it hit me – “What if the kids can actually design their ideal piece of clothing and send them to us?”. From there, a simple process was conceived: A print-at-home colouring template that could be designed in any way, and using any tools and media a child wishes, photographed with a smartphone, uploaded on our website and sent back ready to wear!

Following many a month of research, we found a UK partner which fitted out criteria and was able to ethically handmake every piece of clothing in the UK, using quality materials with minimal waste and carbon footprint – creating a unique garment that doesn’t exist anywhere else and that no one else in the world has.

The rest of this story now lies with you and your creativity. Now imagine what you could wear
